The Smokehouse is where we hot smoke seafood, poultry, NZ lamb, sausages and vegetables.
All The Smokehouse products are locally sourced where possible and our wide range of fish species are caught by local fisheries from the clear blue waters of Tasman Bay and delivered directly to The Smokehouse. Our signature product 'Hot Smoked Salmon' is King Salmon fresh from the Marlborough Sounds and our greenlipped mussels are also from the famous Marlborough Sounds.
After filleting, we coat the fish in a special brine which is left overnight. When the fish is ready for smoking, the smokers are fired up, the Manuka shavings scattered and left to smoulder.
When ready, its fragrant smoke imparts a unique and delicious flavour, one that is almost addictive!
The smoking process uses absolutely no artificial additives and the ingredients are unadulterated. Our commitment to provide safe and wholesome products is genuine.
At The Smokehouse, product development is an evolving process where we are constantly experimenting with the latest innovative techniques and products.

The Smokehouse's range of gourmet smoked products are available direct from the Deli.
Our product is freshly smoked daily or if ordering by mail order, on day of order, vacuum packed & packaged, sent the same day for overnight delivery so you can enjoy the benefit of longer shelf life.
